One of the oldest shipyard and its regarded as Singapore’s first purpose-built commercial shipyard in the 1960s and as ship and offshore structures became larger, the original Tanjong Kling site became increasingly constrained. The company planned to move completely out of Tanjong Kling and return the premises to the Singapore Government.

Halex played an important role in this project by reinstatement of foreshore Structures covering full suite of sand trimming, geotextile laying, and stone placing works along more than 1,700m stretch of coastline. Dredging of removal of sandkey up to -19mCD and reuse of the material for shoreline.
